1. Select a solid group or component (must be a closed, watertight mesh).
2. Go to Extensions → Slicer5 → Create Slices.
3. Set your parameters:
   • Slice direction: X, Y, or Z axis.
   • Slice thickness: Distance between cuts (e.g., 3mm for plywood).
   • Material thickness: The actual thickness of your wood/acrylic sheet.
4. Click OK.
5. Slicer will generate:
   • A set of horizontal contours.
   • A layout of those contours flattened onto the ground plane.
6. Export as DXF or SVG for laser cutters, or use SketchUp STL export for 3D printing.
